I was thrilled &#8211; though exhausted! &#8211; to attend the anniversary gala during a whirlwind trip to New York City. In 1998, Eve Ensler used the energy and funds generated by her play <em>The Vagina Monologues<\/em> to begin V-DAY, a global movement to end violence against women and girls. I have been working with V-DAY since 2001 designing invitations, postcards, posters, ads, brochures, banners, and booklets. During that same time Eve Ensler has opened a school in Kenya, marched in Mexico, toured India, facilitated workshops in the Middle East, launched a community festival in New York City and organized an upcoming two-day anniversary celebration of healing in New Orleans starring Oprah.
